Would have surprised me a bit with only 85 units produced as well ;-)

Two next to each other would actually make a pretty wide car (these are over a meter wide).

But with 85 units built I'd doubt you'll find one for sale at all ;-)

That's OK, I could only drive one at a time.

I'll just build my own.

I approve of this. I approve of this a lot. You should definitely do this. Don't forget to document it. Maybe even sell this documentation to all kinds of media. PROFIT!

You'd probably be able to resource an original Gasuden 2-stroke 122 cc engine they used for this one as it was used on many scooters. All other mechanical parts shouldn't be impossible at least.

But the only real problem I'd see is that fiberglass body: How are you gonna recreate that?

injection moulded plastic?

That process itself is very easy. Creating the molds for this Fuji Cabin however could prove to be hard/expensive/impossible? Or wouldn't it?

I've never designed a mold that large but assuming I could get an accurate model of a cabin. Alternatively I could design my own Kabinenroller, compliant with EU legislation of course.

One of my favorite things, obviously. That's the one that used to be at the Bruce Weiner museum in Georgia. It was actually found at a junk sale here in America and looked like this:

The guy who had it had no idea what it was, but the guys who found it did.

Haha, awesome story. These are so incredibly cool. You didn't feature this one in your microcar series did you?

No, I haven’t done the Fuji Cabin, yet. It was a bit of a mystery for a while, but more is known about it now. The only proof of its existence was this picture in the pre-internet days.

Better get a Japanese research assistant on this one, I can’t be of many assistance here ;-)

Using Google translate to understand Japanese text could prove to be hard. Very hard...
